Indian Rocks Beach
While there are many small, independently owned motels and timeshare condos that line the Gulf side of Indian Rocks Beach, there is public beach access, which displays much of the Suncoast’s natural beauty. The Holiday Inn Harbourside is a larger resort that can be found on the Intracoastal Waterway with access to the beach just across the street. Local seafood restaurants like P.J.’s and Keegan’s are a welcome relief from fast food fare.
Many of the beachfront buildings in Indian Rocks Beach date back to the 1950s and 1960s, making this town of a little more than 5,000 people a throwback to an easier, more peaceful time, when the best way to spend a day in Florida was a lazy day at beach.
