Panama City

For visitors who want to check out Florida’s Gulf side beaches, Panama City has everything that a beach lover could ask for: emerald green waters, white sugar sand beaches, and plenty of diversions after the sun goes down. The Florida panhandle community of Panama City was rated the #1 beach in the 1995 survey of the world's beaches, and the #4 beach in America by The Travel Channel in 2000.

In recent years, Panama City has gained popularity as a Spring Break destination. Club La Vela in Panama City Beach bills itself as the largest nightclub in the USA, inviting patrons to “party with thousands.” Club La Vela has at least a dozen theme rooms with their own musical styles, ambience, and nightclub crowd, and new theme rooms are added every year.

After a night at the clubs or a day at the beach, there are plenty of places to stay in Panama City, including the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort and Marriott’s Bay Point Resort, which also cater to families. No matter how you plan to spend your vacation in the Florida panhandle, there is always something to do in Panama City.
